Comical and often cheeky felt-tip illustrations by Klaus Kremmerz
For German illustrator Klaus Kremmerz, there's only one tool that he loves to use; one that delivers artwork that looks like nothing else currently out there. And that's the humble felt-tip pen.

The New York Times Book Review
This not only adds super pleasing texture to his illustrations, it also whips up a huge sense of nostalgia. And it's attracted clients such as the New York Times, The New Yorker and Monocle magazine.
With a style that often follows simple lines and the odd cheeky narrative thrown in for good measure, his latest work includes a stunning illustration for Village Voice. Speaking of his choice of weapon to WeTransfer's This Works, he said: "Felt-tips do not let you be over-elaborate. You need to find a quick solution, to avoid colour spreading out of control on the paper.
"It’s a fresh media rich with potential. Every time I start a new work, it feels like driving without the safety belt. I don’t know if the image is finished till is finished."
