Artist spends a decade foraging 520,000 wildflowers and plants to create giant hanging artwork
In her most ambitious project to date, Rebecca Louise Law (whom we've featured previously) has foraged over half a million wildflowers and plants, many she's collected over the last decade, to create a giant hanging artwork at the Toledo Museum of Art in Ohio, United States.

On show until 13 January 2019, Community is an interactive installation that features approximately 520,000 individual elements of native flora grown and collected from the local landscape and required 1,800 local volunteer hours to construct.
Best known for artworks created with natural materials, the physicality and sensuality of Rebecca's work plays with the relationship between humanity and nature. She is passionate about natural change and preservation, allowing her work to evolve as nature takes its course and offering an alternative concept of beauty.
"I like to capture and cherish small beautiful natural objects to create an artwork that can be observed without the pressure of time," explains Rebecca. "Preserving, treasuring, celebrating and sharing the beauty of the Earth with the world is what drives me."
Community has just launched at Toledo Museum of Art in Ohio and will run until 13 January 2019. Find out more at www.rebeccalouiselaw.com.
