Photographer Alan Schaller travels to Rwanda to capture the local coffee producers
Since the tragic events of the genocide of 1994, Rwanda has been healing and growing as a nation, and the developing coffee trade has brought much-needed stability, and a better life for many. Now London-based photographer Alan Schaller has released a stunning series of images following a trip to the African country.

He was commissioned by Union Hand Roasted Coffee to meet some of those involved with the production of coffee – which accounts for sixty per cent of Rwanda's exports, making it a crucial industry for the local economy.
These powerful images are currently on display at the Classic Camera Holborn shop, if you want to view them in person. The chosen selection are designed to take you from the picking of the coffee cherries to the people behind the work – explaining visually how coffee gets to you.
