Product Designer

The role

telli, a Berlin company that builds and runs consumer-facing AI voice agents for businesses such as energy providers, telcos and insurers, is hiring a Product Designer. You would own design across the company, devise UX patterns for problems existing software has not tackled, and help test what large language models can do. The role is full-time and on-site in Berlin, within the Product, Design and Engineering team. The company sees product design and engineering roles converging, and says it is not a fit for people who want a remote-first set-up, a 9-to-5, or to be told exactly what to do.

What you'll do

• Design UX patterns that work both in web applications and in chat interfaces such as ChatGPT, Claude and Codex
• Design agentic loops that let customers analyse and improve their voice agents
• Define and implement the design language for the product and the brand

About you

• Strong aesthetic taste in software and AI systems
• Able to build products that solve real problems
• Bases decisions on real customer insight, not assumptions
• Takes ownership and acts without waiting to be asked
• Thinks from first principles
• Uses AI heavily in day-to-day work
• Comfortable with ambiguous problems
• Cares about business outcomes as well as the technology
• A portfolio of things you have built matters more than years of experience or previous employers
• Designers who have not written production code are welcome if they are willing to learn
• Nice to have: coding ability
